How We Do It

Tallawah works to connect the women leaders through a support network, equip them through training and capacity building, and facilitates access to key decision-making platforms to amplify their voices.

How do we achieve this goal?

For Tallawah, strengthening the leadership capacity of women grassroots leaders is only the beginning. Our goal is to end the invisibility of women survivor leaders, to position them as change agents and opinion leaders and to create opportunities for them to shape public attitudes on ending violence against women and the rights of survivors.

With our Women Leadership and Development Program, women leaders of survivor or grassroots organisations can strengthen their knowledge and skills in managing their organisations, enabling them to achieve the goals they aspire to.

Tallawah’s mission is dedicated to achieving gender equality and empowering women and girls and aligns with target 5.1, 5.2, 5.5 and 5.c of the UN Sustainable Goals to: "Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls."

Women
Leader's Circle

A network of women leaders, mentors and supporters connected by a common cause and shared interests. TALLAWAH convenes the network of women leaders who form the inner circle, supported by mentors and friends who share our vision.

Transformational
Leadership Training

We build the capacity of women leaders to effectively lead their organization, equipping them (and their boards) with skills in finance, grantwriting, advocacy and governance. Using our signature transformational leadership programme; PIVOTTtm

WomenLead
Mentorship Program

The WomenLead Mentorship Programme is an exciting initiative in which we match women leaders of community-based and survivor organisations with women leaders in other spheres, for a mutual sharing of information and expertise. This model enables women leaders at different stages of the mentor and mentee relationship, to learn from and mentor each other in diverse areas.

Tallawah
Knowledge Systems

Women leaders have a lot to contribute but they don’t often get access to key platforms to be able to add their voices to issues that matter to them. TALLAWAH amplifies the voices of the women leaders as social disruptors advocating for changes in laws, policies and systems that perpetuate systemic injustice against women, about climate change, economic and social justice. We empower them to speak!
