Tallawah Justice for Women is an agent of social change in that it promotes movement building by addressing the systemic issue of the lack of support for women leaders. Our aim is to foster an alternative vision through the Tallawah Women Leader’s Circle.
The Tallawah Women Leader’s Circle is a multi-layered network consisting of diverse women leaders of the Global South, skilled mentors and supporters from around the world. Within the network, women leaders will be able to interact with each other in a safe, non-threatening space. This allows women leaders to connect, empower one another and learn from each other, adopting a solution-driven approach to their problems.
Our aim is to promote networks and collaborations among women leaders to facilitate knowledge sharing and peer support. This Circle will therefore make it possible to bring women together in specific groups according to the issues they are concerned with. This Circle is not just for women survivors, but for all women who – at local level – are experiencing difficulties in carrying out their organisation’s activities
Grassroots activism is also essential to strengthening movement building, as it enables collective action to be taken. That’s why we support women leaders of survivor or grassroots organisations through our programs.
